A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) focuses on the care and well-being of the newborn. Think of a Newborn Care Specialist as an expert in all things related to newborns, providing specialized, in-home care during the first few months of a newborn’s life.

NCS role includes:

  • Supporting parents in baby care techniques
  • Assisting with feedings (breastfeeding, formula, or a combination)
  • Monitoring the newborn’s health and development
  • Establishing healthy sleep routine
  • Calming fussy babies and addressing sleep regressions
  • Providing overnight support so parents can get such needed rest
  • Lactation support


I provide a complete newborn care, such as feeding, burping, soothing, changing diapers, bathing, dressing, baby’s laundry, organizing and stocking nursery, washing and sanitizing bottles, pumping supplies, maintaining a thorough care log, noting feeding and sleeping patterns in order to establish a healthy schedule. As well as guidance and parent education.
